DAY 1

DAY 1: Wednesday, October 1   (Community Prayer – City Hall at Noon)

TOPIC:  Families

SCRIPTURE: “Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7)

OBSERVATION:  There is a story of a grocery manager who tried to weigh a prayer. A tired-looking family was struggling for food, meds, and a host of needs. As the mother shared it was tough, and she was weary trying to keep up with all the needs for her four children. Between childcare, medical needs, clothing, and other bills she was exhausted, and her marriage was struggling as well. The mother said, “I do not know how I am going to pay for this, but I am praying about it. The manager said, “well write it out on this paper, and I’ll weigh it, and we’ll see” (smirking).  After everything was sacked up, the women put the paper on the scale, and it outweighed the food she bought. Afterwards the manager looked at the paper: “Please Lord, give us this day our daily bread.” Families are struggling in many ways in El Dorado. During this 40 days of prayer God is calling YOU to PRAY for our FAMILIES, afterwards needs will weigh out appropriately as we cast our CARES on him!

PRAYER: “Lord, call us to PRAY, ACT, SERVE, and CARE, as your CARE for us!”

Thank you for joining in prayer with your neighbors across El Dorado and Union County, Arkansas for the 2025 40 Days of Prayer. Please continue to pray for blessings and unity for our community.

We are so grateful for your partnership in God’s Kingdom work. May you and yours be blessed.
