DAY 27: Monday, October 27
TOPIC: All Leaders in Government
SCRIPTURE: Micah 6:8 “…what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?
OBSERVATION: God’s Word lays out a simple but powerful standard for leadership. Leaders are called to pursue justice, making decisions with fairness and integrity. They are called to love kindness, showing mercy and compassion toward those they serve. And they are called to walk humbly with God, recognizing that their authority and wisdom ultimately come from Him. As believers, we are invited to pray these truths over our governmental leaders. When we ask God to shape their hearts with justice, mercy, and humility, we are praying according to His will–and our prayers can make a difference.
PRAYER: Jesus, I lift up our local, regional, state, and national leaders before you today. I ask that you give them hearts that value justice and integrity. Lord, show them how to seek after and love kindness, showing compassion to those they serve, the weak, vulnerable, and marginalized. Humble them to walk before You, seeking Your wisdom above their own. Protect them from the pride of life and corruption and guide their decisions for the good of the people and the glory of Your name. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
