DAY 28

DAY 28:  Tuesday, October 28

TOPIC:  Those Incarcerated and Their Families

SCRIPTURE: “For He looked down from His holy height [of His sanctuary], From heaven the Lord gazed on the earth, To hear the sighing of the prisoner, To set free those who were doomed to death.” Psalm 102: 19-20

OBSERVATION:  God’s boundless compassion extends to every corner of His creation, embracing even those confined within prison walls. Their anguished cries, and those of their sorrowing families, do not go unheard; He listens intently to every plea. He has not abandoned them, nor has He cast them aside as irredeemable. Instead, His magnificent gifts of mercy, grace, and forgiveness remain perpetually accessible to all who earnestly call upon Him, regardless of their past or present circumstances. There is always a path to redemption and a promise for a new beginning for those who seek His loving embrace.

PRAYER:   Lord, we pray for those who are incarcerated and feel hopeless, believing no one cares for or values them. Let them be enveloped by Your comforting presence, reassuring them of Your love, care, and immense value for them. We also lift up their families—parents, spouses, and children—who long to see them. Grant these families peace, stability, and the necessary resources to continue their lives until their loved ones are released and reunited. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
