DAY 32:  Saturday, November 1

TOPIC: Those Battling Serious Illnesses

SCRIPTURE:  “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. ² Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, ³ though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.” – Psalm 46:1-3

OBSERVATION: The Bible shares with us that in this sin-filled world, we will face trouble.   One of the many trials we face is battling serious illnesses. Our passage shares that God is our refuge, protecting us each day.  He is also our strength, empowering us to make it through the day.  He is our ever-present help, meaning he is eager and able to help us during times of crisis.  Even though we go through times of trouble, we do not have to fear because God is with us and will keep us close to Him.

PRAYER: Father, we thank you for always being with us in life, even in times of trouble.  We specifically pray for those who are battling serious illnesses.  We pray that they would find safety in your arms.  We also pray that you would provide the strength that they need to face the difficulties each day.   We pray that they would find comfort and courage in knowing that you are with them, helping them at all times.
