What difference could the power of 40 day of coordinated, concentrated prayer to God by hundreds of people in El Dorado and Union County make?
We’re about to find out, and you are invited to be a part of it.
Here’s what you need to know:
When and Who. Just think. During October 1 – November 9, 2016, Hundreds of Christians across El Dorado and Union County will be praying the same prayer along with you each day for 40 days!
What and How. Spend at least 5 minutes a day for 40 days in prayer using the daily guides authored for you by over 30 ministry leaders in El Dorado and Union County. Each day your prayer guide will include a message from the Bible, and observation and a prayer thought to serve as a focus for your prayer time. Each Sunday, the prayer guide will intentionally focus on the goodness of God. Our needs will always be present but it’s imperative that we take time to just celebrate the goodness of God, Amen?
Consider Fasting. A new addition to this year’s initiative: The ministry leaders invite you to join us in committing to a day of fasting on the 1st, 20th, and 40th days of the prayer campaign. That’s:
- Day 1 – Saturday, October 1
- Day 20 – Thursday, October 20
- Day 40 – Wednesday, November 9
Now… if you’re new to fasting, you’ll want to take a look at this helpful straight-forward advice about the practice of fasting, so you won’t need to apologize later for what you said in “hanger.” 😉
