“These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, & that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hears us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.” -I John 5: 13-15 (KJV)
OBSERVATION: Since God is not the author of confusion, we look unto Jesus Christ the author and finisher of our faith, who being made perfect, became the author of eternal salvation to all that obey him; therefore, every prayer that is not in accordance to the will of the Father, does not have access to God.
We observe the avenue of prayer through the foundation laid by the “Wise Master Builder”. He says, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. The avenue of prayer leads believers to foundational truths; prayer instructs and teaches the believer how to build thereon. PRAYER: Father, as we pray today, we thank you for true love toward us. We thank you for world love by giving your only begotten son, Jesus Christ, who died so that everlasting life could be given to all whom believe that You raised Jesus from the dead. Father, we submit our will and our ways to you so that we may truly be the children of God; using Your strength in the Holy Spirit, making us able to resist the devil and the evils of this world. Now unto him that is able to keep us from falling, and to present us faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God, our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever, Amen.
