“For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding. He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly. He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints. Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.” Proverbs 2:6-9
OBSERVATION: We know that the Lord gives blessings to the repentant who approach him with a broken heart and a contrite spirit. He has promised to provide—and will provide—knowledge, understanding, and wisdom generously to the humble. We may desire full knowledge, understanding, and wisdom all at once, however most often it is revealed to us over time as we continue to walk uprightly before the Lord. Patiently follow his commandments and apply his grace and mercy in your life. As you do so, you will come to a knowledge that He once died for you and that He now lives for you; you will understand how much He loves and strengthens you; and you will gain the wisdom and ability to express charity, the pure love of Christ, with all whom you encounter.
PRAYER: “Heavenly Father, we thy children approach thee in humble prayer for those working in our courts. Instill in them the courage to seek and follow thy will. Give them wisdom and understanding to deal charitably and judge righteously with all. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
