For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” -Galatians 5:13-14
Reflect | We are called to be free! We are so very thankful for the freedoms God has provided us here in the United States of America. We are truly so blessed! All the blessings come from God, but in this scripture, we find a warning. We should not use the freedoms he has given to indulge our own flesh but to serve others in love. May we freely serve others through the love of Christ!
Pray | Jesus, thank you for providing us the ultimate freedom—the freedom from sin. Thank you for blessing us with so many freedoms in our country. May we never become complacent and never forget your two greatest commands to love the Lord with all we are and to love our neighbors as ourselves.
