Friday, October 20 (Optional Day of Fasting)
SCRIPTURE: “Won’t You revive us again, so Your people can rejoice in You?” -Psalm 85:6
OBSERVATION: The burden for revival can be summed up in one word: prayer. It was the late Leonard Ravenhill that said, “The Church is dying on its feet because it is not living on its knees.” This matter of prayer is important because if a true revival is to visit the Church there must be a basic relationship of life. Revival means to quicken, recover or restore- God desires that we have abundant life. Revival is that strange and sovereign work of God in which He visits His own people that have begun a new obedience to Him.
PRAYER: O Father, we repent of our sin and surrender our will to you today. We ask that you refresh our hearts and spirit today as we desire nothing but the awareness of Your presence in our lives. Give us wisdom as we call upon Your name. In the Name above every Name, Jesus. Amen.
