DAY 11: Sunday, October 11
TOPIC: Praise of Christ
SCRIPTURE: “For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. 17 And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.18 And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. 19 For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.” Colossians 1:16-19
OBSERVATION: Jesus reveals God to us! He is our Creator and Sustainer, and we were created for Him. The goal of life is to know Him and glorify His name. Our sin separates us from God, but Jesus gave His life to reconcile us to Him. Through faith in Jesus, we can know God and experience abundant life now and forever. Why did He do it? “For God so loved the world…” (John 3:16)
PRAYER: Jesus, thank you for loving and saving us so we can know you. Help us live each day to glorify your name. Draw those who do not yet know you to yourself so they can experience your forgiveness, love, and life. Amen
