DAY 27: Tuesday, October 27
TOPIC: All Leaders in Government
SCRIPTURE: “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people- for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives, in all godliness and holiness.” – 1 Timothy 2:1-2.
OBSERVATION: Leadership carries tremendous responsibility. The decisions made by those in authority affect families, communities, and future generations. Scripture teaches us to pray for our leaders, asking God to give them wisdom, integrity, courage, and discernment. Regardless of position or political differences, those entrusted with authority need our prayers.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, we lift up all who serve in government, from our local communities to our state and nation. Grant them wisdom when decisions are difficult, courage when doing what is right comes at a cost, and humility to remember the people they serve. Surround them with wise counsel and guide their hearts toward justice, compassion, and integrity. Protect their families and strengthen them for the responsibilities they carry. May their leadership promote peace, protect the innocent, uphold justice, and serve the good of all people. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
