DAY 28: Wednesday, October 28
TOPIC: Those Incarcerated and Their Families
SCRIPTURE: “I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.” (Matthew 25:36, ESV)
OBSERVATION: When someone is incarcerated, the impact reaches beyond the prison walls. Their families may experience loneliness, financial hardship, disappointment, and uncertainty. Their struggles are often unseen by us, but God sees. Jesus reminds us to care for those who are in prison. Let us remember those who are incarcerated and the families who love them. They are in need of grace, hope, and compassion. Jesus teaches that when we care for them, we are serving Him.
PRAYER: Father, we lift up every prisoner and every family affected by incarceration. Bring hope to those who feel forgotten, strength to those who are weary, and peace to those carrying heavy burdens. Draw prisoners closer to You and let them experience your transforming grace. Comfort their families and surround them with encouragement and support. Give us compassionate hearts and willing hands to serve those who are often forgotten. Help us see them as You see them and remember that when we serve them, we are serving You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
