DAY 37: Friday, November 6
TOPIC: Foster Care/Adoption
SCRIPTURE: Psalms 68: 5-6 “God in his holy dwelling is a father of the fatherless and a champion of widows. God provides homes for those who are deserted”.
OBSERVATION: Adopting or fostering a child is a life-changing decision that provides a vulnerable child with a safe, loving home. Children enter foster care or become eligible for adoption due to abuse, neglect or family hardships. Providing them with a structured nurturing environment helps with the effects of early childhood trauma. Whether temporary or permanent, a supportive home allows a child to focus on school, build healthy relationships and heal.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, please wrap your loving arms around every child in foster care or waiting for adoption. Give strength and wisdom to their caregivers and comfort their hearts in moments of fear or sadness. Lead every child safely to a loving permanent forever home. In Jesus name we pray. Amen
