DAY 38

DAY 38:  Saturday, November 7

TOPIC:  Homeless in Our Community

SCRIPTURE:  I John 3:17-18 (ESV) 17 But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him? 18 Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.”

OBSERVATION: Homelessness happens and we’ve seen those in our community whose lives have gone down this hopeless pathway. No one plans such a journey, and the only future these people have depends on a supernatural intervention by our Heavenly Father. Knowing this, we have to also realize that as Christians, we are the hands and feet to help and even rescue these people.

PRAYER:  Dear God, we pray for the homeless people that reside in our community. Let us be attentive and open our hearts to them. Show us how to demonstrate the love of God in deed and in truth. Mobilize us to take action and help them. We ask for insight and wisdom to bring wholeness to this destitute group of people who need the Hope of the Gospel. We pray in the majestic name of Jesus Christ our Lord!

Thank you for joining in prayer with your neighbors across El Dorado and Union County, Arkansas for the 2026 40 Days of Prayer. Please continue to pray for blessings and unity for our community.

We are so grateful for your partnership in God’s Kingdom work. May you and yours be blessed.
