DAY 33: Monday, November 2
TOPIC: Those Battling Serious Illnesses
SCRIPTURE: “The LORD sustains him on his sickbed; in his illness you restore him to full health.” — Psalm 41:3
OBSERVATION: Serious illness can bring fear, uncertainty, and moments when you simply don’t know what tomorrow holds. Today let’s give thanks for the sustaining power and goodness of God, especially in times of illness. We give Him praise because He is always present with us and provides strength when ours is failing. His goodness remains unchanged. We give thanks for the hope we have in Him.
PRAYER: Father, in the name of Jesus, we lift up those in our community who are battling illness. We ask that You sustain them when they are weak, strengthen them when they are weary, and surround them with Your peace and presence. Bring healing and restoration to their bodies according to Your will. Remind them that they are never alone in their struggle. Give wisdom to doctors, strength to caregivers, and comfort to families walking beside their loved ones. May Your goodness be evident even in the midst of illness and may hope rise where fear and uncertainty have tried to take hold. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
